Style yourself on Noel Gallacher and Oasis and you won't be far wrong. They sell clothes labelled as Indie rock.
You needn't spend too much. All Indie gear is comfortable and not 'show off' type of gear. It's all about comfort and casual - not dressed up and expensive.
anything with alittle vintage 1960s flair or like something retro and not mainstreem sadly connverse are not indie anymore because to many people have them and ther mainstreem but im indie and i like conversse. if you wanna start dressing indie start listing to the music and that will give you the insperation..... you dress acording to the music you listen to... its true
Honestly I think its just people who dress down casual clothing. Its really not an effort, they are not putting effort in their clothes or hair. Just natural like their music.
