i think they were both wrong. this situation showed a lack of understanding by both skep chick and dawkins.

skep chick had a point, that asking her in a lift felt threatening. but it showed a lack of understanding of the guys fears, i'm sure the reason he asked her there was so he was alone with her because he expected rejection and didn't want that rejection to be in front of a large crowd.

dawkins had a point that compared to what women face in other cultures this was not a big deal. but it showed a lack of understanding of how she may have felt threatened in that situation.

basically the whole thing was a mountain out of a molehill.

Having an open marriage, or being polyamorous has distinctive implications than having a criminal partnership between a team of people. in addition to, maximum polygamous marriages are relatively anti-egalitarian. they're harem type, somewhat than a team of all co-equivalent persons. i'm unconvinced that the rights and household initiatives of marriage can scale to a polygamous settlement or that there is a compelling reason they could desire to. that's in comparison to there is an orientation the place a man or woman can in basic terms type an intimate relationship with a team of people.
