What are the people that walk around Disney world called?
Okay so i am 15 and my dream is to be one of the characters that walk around disney world FL and get pictures with the kids and sign there autographes and stuff! Could anyone tell me what those are called, what that is like, and also what the age is? I don't want to dance or preform in any of the groups though? Is that stuff required for auditions? And yes i do understand that i am to young right now but this is just for further reference! Lastly, i am 5.9 - 5.9 1/2 so i was wondering if they would still take me as a princess? Because that is what i am leaning towards as my character! I would happily take any other though!

all disney employees are called cast members.
if you want to be a princess you would be a face character.
you are too tall for a princess though and being 15 its likely you will grow even taller so you would not be a princess. you may be the right height for other face characters such as the evil queen otherwise you may be a fur character.
you have to be 16+ i believe.
yes in the audition you do have to dance and preform.
btw they don't just walk around the parks.
there are specific meet and greet areas.

They're people who work in entertainment. They are friends with the characters.

It's harder than you'd think. You have to stay in character the whole time, no matter what you will be friends with characters who have their faces covered, and you interact with lots of young young kids. That being said, a lot of people love it and find it really fuffiling.

Yes, they have two types of auditions, both require dance. One is a parade preformer/ character audition, and you do a more complex dance, but it isn't that hard. You mainly need high energy.
Then the other type is specifically for Characters, and in that they may look at you and cut you, but if there aren't THAT many people there you will learn a simple movement routine and it will test grace.
No matter what you will have to move around a lot in the audition.
Lastly, i am 5.9 - 5.9 1/2 so i was wondering if they would still take me as a princess?
Well, they typically have the friends of Princesses at 5'4-5'7, but they will on occasions make exceptions. For other face characters, check out Drizella and Anastasia, the Ugly Stepsisters. Their friends are always really pretty, and it looks like so much fun.
