I am 21 years old and I'm currently a sophomore in college. The reason why I am not a junior like I should be is because I had a baby when I was 20 so I had to take a semester off and all of that.
Now I am back in school. My major is health admin and I know that is good for finding a job after I graduate. The thing is..I'm living with my parents right now and my mom watches my son when I go to school. She's happy to do it but I know it's hard on her.
One of my friends just graduated from the Paul Mitchell school which is a school for those who want to become hair stylists and make up artists and other beauty professionals. It takes 11 months to complete it and you are guaranteed a job after you finish. I am not sure how much you get paid though.
My question is should I stay in school-for potentially 3 more years depending on how many classes I take at a time. Or should I go to this beauty school-it is something I am interested in. And potentially not make that much, but at the same time be done with school sooner?
I don't hate school right now I am just not too great at it. There are so many students out there that are making excellent grades and mine are ok..but not great. I just don't want to continue to be a total burden on my parents, however if I pursue school I could get a better job and support my son much better than I would as a hair stylist-I assume.
What do you think I should do? I have mixed feelings. :s

Be thankful your parents are helping to support you and your son.
Don't worry about getting "excellent" grades. Just make sure you pass the classes unless a certain GPA is required to qualify for higher level classes...discuss this with the dean of the department.
I had excellent grades in college and have never been asked by employers to see my grades.
