it's really annoying to wake up at around 4am to the loud barking of this puppy. It barks really laud so early in the morning. my uncle sometimes stays for a little while in the living room with him...and he goes to sleep but when he leaves, and the puppy wakes up...and it's none stop barking. I'm really tired, I barley have had any time to rest...I worked all this week for long hours ad I would love to just have some peace and quiet :( it's a pomeranian puppy...so they tend to bark a lot. how can I make him stay quiet???????!!!? i'm beggining to have raccoon eyes from not being able to sleep right lol the puppy is my brother's puppy..but we are just looking after him for a while until my brother finds a new house...so he can take the puppy with him into a more suitable place for a puppy to live in. they live in a very small apartment..and they have to pay if they want to keep a pet there. But he's moving to a new bigger home and until he does that apparently my mom has decided the puppy is going to be staying with us...how can I make it be quiet????

Did you ever think the pup may need to go to the bathroom? Puppies can't hold their urine for very long, as their bladder is so small. Every 3 - 4 hours, or oftener, take him outside to go, whether he whines or not. That helps in puppy training him, also. Then, he will go back to sleep. If he doesn't, put his crate by your bed, and put one or two fingers between the bars so he can sniff you and feel safe. Scratch behind his ears at the same time, to calm him down.
put a divider in that crate to make it much smaller. Pup doesn't need a crate 5 times it's size, it needs a comforting little den that fits him and only him with very little wiggle room. If you're gonna crate train, do it right. As pup grows, grow the crate with it. Have you covered the crate with a blanket? You really have to look at it like a den. Dark and warm and cozy is the way to go. Other than that, wait it out. You chose to go the crate route, you're gonna have to wait until pup gets over it's separation anxiety/abandonment issues. Could be a few nights, could be a few weeks, could be never.
He is barking because he wants to pee. Try taking him into the garden/yard just before you go to bed and stay out with him until he has a pee and poo, then he might sleep later in the morning.
