So i'm 13, i turn 14 in October. & i want to get my nose pierced, a SMALL little diamond. I want to try something new, i have my 1st holes and my cartilage, which was HER IDEA, done. My sister has 3 holes in one ear and 2 in the other, and her cartilage. (we got our cartilage done together) How can i convince her to let me get it done? I mean, i know i live under HER roof, but its MY body. i want to be different and express myself in a new way. How can i convince her? thanks!

My sister has her nose done and when she takes it out it just looks like a bigger pore, hardly noticeable at all. So if you change your mind it wouldn't be any big deal at all. And if it ever becomes an issue with work or something you can get clear studs to put in so you can't see it but it wont close up either. So just present it to her that way. You really want it now but if it ever becomes and issue or something you don't want it isn't like a tatto or something that can't be undone.
However, just a tip, if your skin gets oily you might want to wait because supposedly the piercing will get infected more easily if it does and teens get the brunt of that problem. And then there is scaring and no one wants that.
Emilee, i'll probably consider you 14 now. Actually you don't need to convince your mother about the nose piercing thing, tell her you're a grownup, compare yourself with your sister, tell the difference to your mom, you know what i mean?!? I'm sure she'll agree in no time!
On the other side, you can tell her that if the nose pierce didn't look as good as you expected it to be, you can remove it, and it'll be only a matter of days that your nose will be back to its regular condition... without any pierce holes that is!
Good luck!
Your mom sounds pretty liberal and open, so I'd sit her down and tell her that you think that a nose ring would be a unique way to express yourself. It's ARTSY, not trashy. And I used to live in Hungary and I noticed that alot of Europeans have their noses and such pierced and it's a really cool and chic thing to do. You're young once; why wait until you're 18 just to take it out in a year when you get a professional job that doesn't allow it??
I have the same problem except I'm 18...but my parents would flip if I got any piercing done...all I have is my lobes done and it sucks because my parents are so strict against tatts and piercings. I've been thinking about it a lot and thinking ither nose, tongue or belly-button...but right now we still are living under our parents roofs and they do still support us finanically. Plus you're still young meaning that you can't sign off for a piercing yourself like I can. I would wait until you are finanically stable on your own where you don't need the support of your parents finanically or I would wait until you are a legal adult and can sign off for yourself and see if maybe that changes their opinion. Always ask them their opinion first though, they are your family and only have your best interest in mind...weather we like to believe it or not.
honestly wait until your a little older you might regret it. I remember when i was 13 i thought some things looked good when they really looked awful. I know so many people that have piercings from when they were younger and now they think it looks stupid. If i were you i'd wait till the age your allowed to get a piercing without parental consent.
Just show her several pictures on the internet of cute nose studs on people. Remind her how cute they look and how easy they are to remove if you/she doesn't end up liking it. And tell her that you can pay for it by yourself (they're pretty cheap). I was in the same boat when I was 14, and after I convinced her of how nice it would look, she approved, and now we both actually really like it. Good luck! :)
I think you're too young, and should wait a couple years and then consider it. At your age getting your nose pierced is probably just something you'll regret when you're older. And I know people who have realy wierd/ugly scars from nose piercings.
yea, tell her you will pay for it and emphasis that it's just a piercing and if you don't like it, it will close up and isn't permanent! Just tell her you want to try something new and harmless
You could try to compromise... If not you can just annoy the s*** out of her until she lets you lol :)
I hope this helps :)
tell her you'll pay for it yourself and tell her your ready and think you can take care of it like your other piercings
