I went to check my the xbox and see if it just over heated or something but nothing seemed to be wrong with it and then I went to go check my power supply and it was sooo HOT! I dropped it immediately! And then I disconnected every thing and checked if it worked 30 minuets later, And there were no red light on my xbox but the power supply\Brick just turned red all of the sudden and It just won't turn on! please help me I don't want my new 3 months of live to go to waste! Thanks!(:

Me and my friends had the same problem after an all night gaming session at ones house. Really the only reasons we found were: it was in a poorly ventilated area(under some blankets that accadentaly got tossed on it.) so we put a fan blowing on it, second, the cord was a bit unplugged causing some of the heat to be created, we played online and a fairly large game(black ops at the time like 6months ago) causing the need for more power to flow through the block, and last: we played way to long. So put it in an open area, make sure wires are secure, and don't play too long is my only advice. And let the block cool down completely before trying to play again or it may fry the core...
The power supply is bad. You might have noticed that when it was very hot. You'll need a new one. If the machine is under warranty, then Microsoft should be able to replace it. If not, well contact them anyways.
