Do you have a carbon monoxide detector in your home?
ours was flashing and making a really loud beeping sound this afternoon. I told my family to get out of the house...turned out the detector only needed batteries.
I have the latest one on the market, it's a combination smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector. The beauty of this new device is that when the alarm starts screaming very loudly It also yells in a loud human voice FIRE, FIRE or it will yell CARBON MONOXIDE, CARBON MONOXIDE, GET OUT, GET OUT over and over just in case you are a sound sleeper. I bought several at the Home Depot for less than fifty dollars each and I wouldn't be caught dead without it. People usually die not because of the house fire, but because of the poison gasses before they're awake. I'm so glad I recently discovered them and I hope this helps you as well.
Have both carbon monoxide detector and smoke detectors. Also have ventilated windows in every room and never close the vents. I cannot abide a stuffy atmosphere. Windows are opened every day to allow a through flow of air for about an hour, in the winter, most of the day during the summer. I just wish house windows in the UK had fly screens like they do in the USA. Beulah
Yes, I do, but I never took it out of the package. It's against the city code not to have one so I bought it. My house is old, so it's really drafty. I doubt a Carbon Monoxide leak would do much harm.
yes we have a carbon monoxide tester--ours has an intermitant beep when the batteries are low. we also have 4 smoke alarms strategically placed throughout the house
yep, and mine does the same thing. I flip a sh*t every time, and It does it about 4 times a day, and I can't tell you the amount of times I've evacuated my house, for no reason. hah. I need to get it fixed, once I broke down crying because I was so scared. The thought of dying by Carbon Minoxide scares me half to death.

You were still wise to get out of the house...it could have been the real deal. At least you were safe.
Yes...I have one in my house.

Yes, in the house I rent out, but not one in the apartment I live in.....at least, not yet....plus, the smoke detector broke!
Heck yeah! I have TWO. One in the basement and one in the upstairs hall...right next to my smoke detector.
I carry my home everywhere I go. I do have a detector attached to the roof of my home~~
