Christians do not go to church to please anyone. they go to be around other Christians and learn Biblical truths from those whom have more knowledge. they form relationships and have a community that shares their beliefs and they enjoy it. they like to do service together and build good things with other believers, like helpful programs that bless others in need.
We go to church to love family and praise god for example if your mom went to a church and you were a christian then wouldnt you go there as well. I see what your trying to say because some people believe that church is a place of gathering but church is a place to serve the lord. For as david said. I was glad when they said let us go into the house of the lord. God bless you and I thank you for your question
