Soo I haven't had my period in a looong time and i'm getting kinda worried. I guess i'm kind of sexually active...idk my boyfriend and I have never had sex but we have touched..areas.. although as far as I know, he's never gotten anything on me (of course I can't be sure). So I'm not thinking that I'm pregnant, or it is highly unlikely that I am.. I think i was supposed to start my period sometime around the 20th -24th of May and now it is June 7th and I still haven't gotten it. I was pretty stressed during that time because it was state track and graduation..I got so nervous at times that I would puke, but I am normally under a lot of stress and it has never affected my periods before. Anyway, I'm not pregnant am I? Is it just the stress that has cause my missed period? Can I completely skip a period or is it just really late?

It sounds very unlikely that you're pregnant. Periods can be very sensitive cycles. There's an infinite number of reasons you could have missed your period. Even a change in eating or sleeping patterns can affect your cycle.
Menstrual periods are often irregular during the first few years after menstruation starts. It may take several years for the hormones that control menstruation to reach a balance. Pregnancy is the most common cause of a missed period. If you might be pregnant, treat yourself as if you are pregnant until you know for sure. Use a home pregnancy test as the first step to finding out whether you are pregnant. If you are not pregnant, other causes of missed or irregular periods could be:
1. Excessive weight loss or gain. Although low body weight is a common cause of missed or irregular periods, obesity also can cause menstrual problems.
2. Eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia.
3.Increased exercise. Missed periods are common in endurance athletes.
4.Stress, Illness, travel
5. Increased exercise. Missed periods are common in endurance athletes.
6.Hormone problems. This may cause a change in the levels of the hormones that the body needs to support menstruation
7. Drugs
8. Pelvic problems
The first thing you need to do is make sure if you are/not pregnant and remember, you can still become pregnant even though you are not menstruating. Practice birth control if you do not wish to become pregnant.
