Hi, I bought a canon rebel t3i and it was sold just as "body" . Also, the camera is fully functional but needs new memory card slot as the prong is bent. What do I need to buy in order for it to completely work?? Thanks

If your scale of knowledge is fairly small, may I suggest that you return the camera (the pin is bent, so even the bit you have does not work and will cost a lot to fix) and buy a complete camera such as is sold by all good retailers. That means camera body, lens, battery, charger. You may have to pay a few dollars extra for a memory card.
Even in the days of using film, before digital and battery-operated cameras, no camera ever worked without at least a body and a lens.
You've been conned.
The new memory card slot will probably cost much more than you paid for the camera - if the repair had been easy, the seller would've done it himself.
You'll also need a battery and charger (if those didn't come with the camera, it was probably stolen) and a lens, but it's pointless paying for any of those until you find out just how much you're going to be gouged for the minor repair.
Send it to a repair shop to get the pin fixed. Get an estimate as the repair cost may exceed 50% of the value of the camera.
You will need a battery, lens and a memory card to have a fully functional camera.
No amount of buying will fix that one. You need to bring the camera to a repair shop.
Return it to the seller and ask why he didn't mention about the bent thing. After that gets fixed, all you need is a battery, a lens, and an SD card. No memory card slot, no photos.
it rarely happens if you insert the memory card in reverse direction.......if the box is opened by you then the retailer won't support and refer you to service center only.....but it is repairable at affordable cost something around 5 % to 10 % of camera cost with good repair center. if it is authorised service center then around 20% to 25 % will be charged
