Are Reading and Writing Talents?

Ok, so I absoutley LOVE reading, it's my entire life. I read in the dark, with company, at parties, the library, my room, trees (yes I climb trees), roofs (yes I also climb roofs), hallways, and just everywhere. I get teased about it. A lot. It kind of annoys people only because I don't really do anything else but write. If I take a book then I won't go. My mom almost grounded me from reading because I started acting up and when asked why she would do that she said, "Because that's all you ever do!!" So I taught myself without any help to read when I was about 2-3 years old, so basically I just started talking. People always say that that's impossible and a baby couldn't do that but I did. I just picked up a children's book and started sounding out words, asking an occasional question. Writing was the same way except I was a little older. I write my own books (no they aren't published. Yet.) And my teachers always say to other parents, teachers, classes, and people in general that a student of their's is an exceptional writer and has a way with words. You see, I write a lot more than I should. My teachers actually turn to me after they assign a writing assignment and say that I can write more... Other kids do the opposite, they just kind of make fun of me. I'm not interested in sports, singing in front of people, of any of the "normal" talents that everyone else I know has. So are reading and writing talents or do I just do them better than others? Sorry it was so long! xx
